Light: Spider plants prefer bright indirect light, but can tolerate up to three hours of direct sun. If they are placed in a location that will receive more light than this, shade them with a sheer curtain.

Water: Allow the soil to dry out quite a bit between through waterings. Check soil moisture levels with your finger and wait to water until the top half of the soil feels dry to the touch.
