Light: Medium light is ideal for ivies. If placed in the front of a window that receives a large amount of direct sun, shade the plant with a sheer curtain or move the plant back from the window a few feet. Ivies can tolerate low light, but will grow very slowly.
Water: Allow the top third of the soil to completely dry out before thoroughly watering. Ivies do not enjoy soil that stays constantly wet. If you are unsure about whether or not to water, err on the side of dryness.
