Light: This variety of philodendron prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate a wide range of lighting conditions. Shade the plant from extended exposure to direct sun (more than 2 hours). 

Water: Allow the soil to dry out partially between thorough waterings. This is not plant that likes to remain constantly moist or soggy. If unsure about whether or not to water, err on the side of dryness.
